Plaza33 Hosts Next Urban Sketching Meetup

Get creative, share ideas, and create masterpieces at the next meetup of the season.

This summer, 34th Street Partnership has partnered with the The Art Students League of New York to offer artists the opportunity to interact with and learn from professionals in an informal setting. Urban Sketching Meetups are conducted outdoors at various locations throughout the 34th Street District, each class focusing on a different artistic discipline.

Being outside in public spaces packed with people and surrounded by iconic architecture has provided participants with inspiration as they hone their skills and share ideas. By moving sessions to different locations, we seek to tap as many aspects of life on 34th Street as possible.

The next session is 6pm-7pm on August 3 and convenes at the city’s newest public space, Plaza33, located on 33rd Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues. The final session of the season meets at Greeley Square Park on September 7. Meetups are free, and limited materials are provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own.
