We all know how expensive gym memberships can be in NYC, so why shell out all your spending money when you can work out for free right in the heart of Midtown? With our dedicated partners and hardworking programming team, Bryant Park offers a variety of free exercise classes open to the public throughout the season and into the fall.

Experience the joy of movement and dance at Moves with Limón Dance, free classes led by former and current members of the internationally renowned modern dance company. Moves meets on Saturdays, 10am-11am, on the northeast corner of the Lawn through September 24.

Bryant Park Yoga, the incredibly popular program presented by Athleta and taught by instructors curated by Yoga Journal, meets Tuesday mornings, 10am-11am and Thursday evenings, 6pm-7pm. Often drawing over 1,000 yogis to the evening classes and more than 300 to the morning classes, this phenomenon just may be the most successful outdoor exercise program in the country. Yoga continues through September 22, and be sure to pick up your Frequent Yogi Card to receive valuable discounts and freebies.

You can also slow it down a bit by taking classes in the ancient Chinese art of Tai Chi. Provided by the Tai Chi Chuan Center and led by students of CK Chu Tai Chi, classes meet at the Fountain Terrace on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 7:30am-8:30am, through September 29.

If you’re looking for a hardcore workout and tight-knit exercise community, Boot Camp with The Rise NYC is for you. Boot Camp is a rigorous 30-minute session that includes crunches, planks, push-ups, burpees, and mountain climbers, ensuring a mixture of cardio and strength training that will keep you coming back and seeing results. Boot Camp meets at the Fountain Terrace, 6:30am-7am, every Wednesday morning year-round, rain or shine.

All of Bryant Park’s exercise classes are free and open to everyone, regardless of skill level. We urge everyone to take advantage of this great resource.
