Fall sessions by Peoples Improv Theater return to Greeley Square Park.
New Yorkers interested in learning or honing scene work and improvisation techniques have a great opportunity to learn from some of the city’s best instructors as Greeley Square Improv. The series returned last night for the first of its four sessions this fall. Presented in partnership with The Peoples Improv Theater, (cited by New York Magazine as leading the city’s “Best Improv Classes”), the classes are conducted by PIT veteran Ron Hill.
Each free, two-hour session covers beginner-level material through games and group exercises. Classes do not build on material covered in previous classes. Greeley Square Improv meets at 7pm-9pm on consecutive Tuesdays through September 27 at Greeley Square Park. Participants should arrive 10 minutes early and we recommend that you pre-register in advance at Eventbrite, but even if you haven’t done so, drop on by anyway and see if there is room.
Hone your puzzle-solving skills at two workshops, then compete for prizes at the first-ever Crossword Puzzle Tournament in the park.
