Enjoy a lively discussion of the much talked about book Alexander Hamilton.
We’ve covered a lot of literary territory this summer at Book Club: Food for Thought. The free series at Park East in One Penn Plaza meets the third Wednesday of each warm-weather month, and the lineup of books discussed has included Outline by Rachel Cusk, H is for Hawk by Helen Macdonald, A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara, The Queen of Katwe by Tim Crothers, and The Sleepwalker’s Guide to Dancing by Mira Jacob.
We have selected a big one for the finale meeting: Alexander Hamilton, Ron Chernow’s biography of the nation’s first Treasury Secretary. A best seller in its own right, it is also the basis for the phenomenally successful musical Hamilton. Whether you’ve seen the show or haven’t yet, this discussion promises to be a lively one.
