Sk8 Nights at The Rink Coming in February

In addition to SK80s night at Winter Carnival, themed nights at The Rink will include Valentine's Day, Oscar's Night, and Mardi Gras.

Andrew Kelly

This February, The Rink at Bank of America Winter Village is hosting four exciting music nights, each featuring a different music genre. Sk8 Nights at The Rink, free and open to all, also offer photo ops, free giveaways, and a chance to mix and mingle with hundreds of folks who share your passion for skating and music.

The first Sk8 Night is on Friday, February 3, when we present Sk80’s Night as part of Winter Carnival. The music and fashions of the 1980s take over The Rink for a major #flashbackfriday. Dust off your fanny packs and acid wash jeans, tease that hair and join us for a spin around the ice accompanied by a playlist of classic 80s hits. Take a photo with themed props, and snap up fun giveaways (while supplies last) in the Skate Pen in the Skating Pavilion. Admission is free and skate rentals, if you need them, are $20. The event runs from 7pm – 10pm.

Each of the remaining Sk8 Nights has a theme appropriate for the date:

  • February 14 (Valentine’s Day): Love Songs Sk8 Night – a Valentine’s-themed music mix for a special night.
  • February 26 (Oscar’s night): Classic Movie Music Sk8 Night – the red carpet may be in Los Angeles, but Bryant Park has its own Oscar’s celebration, complete with photo ops, surprise activities, and a music playlist of the best hits from the history of film. We’re moving this one to daytime so that everyone can watch the big telecast in the evening.
  • February 28 (Mardi Gras): Mardi Gras Sk8 Night – New Orleans jazz tunes and giveaways for anyone who can’t make it down south for the celebration.
