Winter Poetry to Feature Copper Canyon Press

Don't miss the second-to-last indoor poetry session of the season on March 21.

The city’s premier outdoor poetry series continues its winter run next Tuesday, March 21, as Kinokuniya Bookstore hosts a session featuring poets from Copper Canyon Press. Scheduled to appear are James Richardson, Marianne Boruch, Martine Bellen, and James Galvin.

This week’s late-season blast of arctic weather proves just how important Winter Poetry is. By providing readings by accomplished poets in a warm, indoor space, the series ensures that fans of the warm-weather Poetry series at the Reading Room can bridge the gap during the winter.

This is the next-to-last winter session of the season. The final installment is on Tuesday, April 18 as we host the poets from the Brooklyn College MFA Program. Scheduled to appear are Julie Agoos, Anselm Berrigan, Ben Lerner, and Marjorie Welish.

Please note: programs are subject to change. Winter Poetry meets 6pm–8pm at Kinokuniya Bookstore, just across the street from Bryant Park at 1073 Avenue of the Americas. We thank Kinokuniya for providing a fantastic venue and HSBC for its longtime sponsorship of the Bryant Park Reading Room.
