Late Season Appearance by Frozen Fountain

Last week's winter weather made for great photo ops on the Fountain Terrace.

With above-average temperatures for most of the winter, this has not been a banner year for Bryant Park’s Frozen Fountain. However, Winter Storm Stella and the accompanying sub-freezing weather delivered a late season treat for aficionados.

As a photo from the Agence France-Presse demonstrates, the Josephine Shaw Lowell Memorial Fountain at the west end of the park froze over very nicely, and gave multiple media outlets the perfect establishing shot for stories about NYC’s latest snowstorm. Visitors and passersby also enjoyed it, posting pictures using the #bpfrozenfountain hashtag on Instagram.
