Ring in the Weekend at Friday Picnics

Borrow a blanket, play games, and enjoy delicious food curated by Hester Street Fair at weekly picnics on our lush, green Lawn.

Angelito Jusay

If you’re looking for a fun Friday night activity to kick off the weekend, we’ve got just the thing: our Friday Picnics. Complete with delicious food and drinks, games, and blankets to borrow, the Lawn is the place to be on Fridays this summer.

Start by visiting the Park Shop & Info tent to pick up a blanket to spread out on the Lawn and browse items from Bryant Park Shop. Next, for your dinner al fresco, you’ll find a selection of picnic food, curated by Hester Street Fair, available for sale right next to the Lawn. Participating vendors include Parantha Alley, John’s Juice, Taiyaki NYC, Summers, Two Forks, Alidoro, Thaibird, and Moon Man. There’s also beer and wine available for purchase. Games available include hula hoops, giant Jenga, cornhole, and juggling.

Each Picnic is held in conjunction with a Bryant Park Presents event, like Shakespeare, Contemporary Dance, Intersect, Accordions Around the World, Dance Party, New York City Opera, and Emerging Music Festival.

Friday Picnics are held 5pm–10pm each Friday through July 21. The next Picnic is this Friday, in conjunction with the season opener of Bryant Park Presents Contemporary Dance. Dancers from David Fernandez’s Some Dance CompanyGabrielle Lamb’s Pigeonwing Dance, Da’ Von Doane & Artists of the Shift, and Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance are all appearing in this spectacular opener, beginning at 6pm.
