Get Moving with Limon Dance

Experience the joy and movement of dance on the Lawn.

Angelito Jusay

Now in its sixth season in the park, Moves with Limón Dance continues to offer free modern dance lessons that will keep you in shape all summer long. The classes, conducted by instructors provided by the world-renowned Limón Dance Company, are based on the Limón Technique, developed in the 1930’s by modern dance pioneers Doris Humphrey and Charles Weidman.

Moves with Limón Dance emphasizes fall and recovery and incorporates the natural movement patterns of the body and its relation to gravity to produce a workout that’s challenging and exhilarating. It’s a great way to energize your weekend.

Classes meet Saturdays, 10am-11am, at the northeast corner of the Lawn, through September 30. In case of Lawn closures, the classes move to the Upper Terrace.
