Album recorded at 2016's Emerging Music Festival released.
Last August’s Emerging Music Festival was a big success, bringing five rising NYC bands to the Bryant Park Stage for one fabulous evening of innovative music in several genres, including indie rock, soul, R&B, singer-songwriter, and more. One of the acts was EMEFE, a Brooklyn band described by Village Voice as a blend of “Fela Kuti–inspired Afrobeat with dashes of Prince-and David Byrne–channeling pop orchestration.” The group laid down a killer set to close out the evening and luckily, it was recorded and is now available for sale. You can sample and purchase EMEFE’s Live at Bryant Park album here.
Save the dates, because this year’s Emerging Music Festival, now in its fourth year, expands to two evenings, presenting a total of ten bands on Friday, August 18 at 6pm-10pm, and Saturday, August 19 at 4pm–10pm.
