Outdoor improv classes return to Greeley Square Park on select Thursdays this summer.
Greeley Square Improv returns next week, giving up-and-coming performers the opportunity to hone scene work and improvisation techniques in a dynamic urban setting, for no charge. The free lessons are presented in partnership with The Peoples Improv Theater, (cited by New York magazine as having the city’s “Best Improv Classes”), and are led by PIT instructors.
The bi-weekly program meets at 5:30pm-7pm, on the following Thursdays: July 20, August 3, August 17, and August 31. Each free, 90-minute session covers beginner-level material through games and group exercises. Classes do not build on material covered in previous classes. You can register for any of the classes on Eventbrite.
Participants should arrive 10 minutes early. Though we recommend that you pre-register in advance, if you haven’t done so, drop by anyway and see if there is space.
