Two Reading Rooms on 34th Street

Sit back with a good book or catch up on the news at Herald Square Park and One Penn Plaza.

Angelito Jusay

The public spaces maintained by 34th Street Partnership offer a cornucopia of programming choices this summer, with exercise classes, dance lessons, book club, and much more.

But sometimes you just need to sit and relax and do some reading. Fortunately, the Partnership maintains two Reading Rooms where you can come and catch up on the news for no charge.

They’re located at Herald Square and Park East at One Penn Plaza. You’ll find the latest newspapers and magazines at our attractive, newly designed carts, and it’s all free. Both Reading Rooms are open Monday – Friday, 10am–5:30pm, through November.
