Three more chances to discuss works of fiction with Jessica Strand of NYPL's Books at Noon.
The focus is on fiction at this season’s Book Club literary series, presented by 34th Street. On the third Wednesday of each month, we’re offering two sessions, one at lunchtime and one at happy hour, for readers to discuss the hottest best-sellers and much-anticipated pre-publication works in a relaxed, informal setting.
Discussions are led by Jessica Strand, co-creator and host NYPL’s former Books at Noon program. Free coffee is provided, and you can pick up a free copy of the book to be discussed at the Midtown Recess cart, located at Park West. Books are provided by Penguin Random House and are available while supplies last.
The next Book Club meets on August 16, and the subject for discussion is Michelle Frances’ “gripping and chilling debut psychological thriller” The Girlfriend. Stop by Park East beforehand and get your free copy. Book Club meets at 12pm–12:45pm and 5:30pm–6:15pm through October. The remaining books to be discussed include:
