Learn two new art forms at the Art Cart this September with Grand Central Atelier and the International Center of Photography.
September is just around the corner, and as we shift from summer to fall at Bryant Park, the Art Cart is preparing workshops in Figure Drawing and Photography that will be open to anyone wanting to learn more about these art forms.
Photography Workshops are presented by the nearby International Center of Photography, and will meet 5:30pm–7pm on Tuesdays throughout September, with each session focusing on a different aspect of photography.
Figure Drawing Workshops with a live model meet at 1pm on four consecutive Fridays beginning September 8. Each three-hour class offers a taste of fine art training in the classical tradition by artists from Grand Central Atelier. Participants will sketch the portrait or figure in an outdoor setting, concentrating on creating an accurate likeness and proportion of the live model. Classes begin with a demo by the instructor followed by group sketching and critiques. No registration is required and limited materials are provided.
