Games and Chess Moving to Fifth Avenue Terrace

Starting October 9, the two activities make their move to the front of the New York Public Library, extending their season into the fall.

We’re constantly looking for ways to extend the seasons of our favorite warm-weather activities like Games and Chess + Backgammon. Last year, we temporarily moved the two activity areas to the Fifth Avenue Terrace in October to accommodate the construction needs of Bank of America Winter Village. This year, we’ll do just that again.

The selection of over 50 strategy, board, and party games will be available as usual, and we’ll even be adding in two cornhole sets as well. Just speak with a Games Host, who can help you get started, explain rules, and help set up equipment. At Chess + Backgammon, the Chess Host will lend out equipment, arrange matches, and even give you advice on your next move.

The two activities will move to the Fifth Avenue Terrace, in front of the New York Public Library, beginning Sunday, October 8 and will be open daily, 11am–8pm, through early November, or until the weather turns cold.
