Bryant Park

Last Week for Lawn and Reading Room

The park's seasonal transition from summer to fall starts up in seven days.

Colin Miller

Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park opens next month, and that means that park visitors have seven more days to enjoy the Lawn and Reading Room. The last day for both is Wednesday, October 4, after which the Lawn will be removed and the Reading Room will close, in preparation for another great season of The Rink and the Holiday Shops.

So, come to the Lawn this week and have lunch, do some quiet reading, or just lay back and enjoy the autumn sunshine. At the Reading Room, you’ll find a wide selection of up-to-date newspapers and magazines, as well as great literature for adults and kids.  It’s open daily, weather permitting, 11am–7pm.

As we prepare to say goodbye to the Lawn, we’ll give a tip of the hat to Park Manager Brian Schliessman, who is responsible for its maintenance. Given the wear and tear the grass incurs through the busy summer season, Mr. Schliessman did a great job in keeping it healthy and open to the public as much as possible.
