Beloved salad chain opens a location just across the street from the park.
The Bryant Park neighborhood added another healthy eatery to its growing list last week as Sweetgreen opened in the Grace Building on 42nd Street. Offering salads and grain bowls crafted from ethically-sourced ingredients, Sweetgreen’s new location continues a trend that has dramatically transformed the street-level retail and dining scene surrounding the park.
As stated on its website, Sweetgreen was founded in 2007 as “a destination for simple, seasonal, healthy food,” and has been growing ever since. With an emphasis on local sourcing, their menu offers classics year-round, as well as exciting seasonal selections.
Bryant Park Corporation is pleased to welcome Sweetgreen to the area. Over the last five years, as numerous health-conscious eateries, grocery stores, gyms, and exercise studios have opened nearby, the neighborhood has taken on a decidedly healthy sheen. We think this a great development that complements the park perfectly.
Sweetgreen, located at 1114 Sixth Avenue (between 42nd and 43rd Streets), is open 10:30am–10pm on weekdays and 10:30am–6pm on weekends.
