Christmas Tree All Ready for Tree Lighting

Beautiful Norway Spruce was donated by Taraska family of Nanuet.

Finding the perfect tree to preside over Bank of America Winter Village during the holiday season is a duty we take seriously: every fall, our scout scours Rockland County, looking for a tree with just the right height and proportions.

This year’s tree is a 55’ tall Norway Spruce donated by the Mariusz Taraska family of Nanuet. It was put into place earlier this week and is now being decorated with 3,000 ornaments, 30,000 lights, and a custom-made tree-topper.

We thank members of the Taraska family for their generosity in donating such a beautiful tree. They will be in attendance on Friday, December 1 when the tree is lit for the first time this year. The annual Tree-lighting Skate-tacular begins at 6pm, and includes live music, an on-ice theatrical production performed by world-class skaters and narrated by Jane Krakowski, fireworks and, after the tree lights up, free-admission skating for all. Everyone is invited, and it’s free of charge.
