Tree Lighting Skate-tacular This Friday

Skater and stars at this year's annual tree lighting event.

Elizabeth Shrier

With Thanksgiving behind us, the holidays are officially on, and one of the best ways to kick off your own Yuletide season is to come to Bank of America Winter Village on Friday, December 1 for the annual Tree Lighting Skate-tacular, presented by Bank of America with Salesforce, Luma Hotel and TimeOut NY, in support of (RED).

The star-studded event includes live music and a theatrical production narrated by Tony-winner Jane Krakowski and performed on the ice by Olympic and World Champion skaters Johnny Weir, Kimmie Meissner, Meryl Davis Charlie White and Jeff Buttle. After some fireworks and the tree lighting, there’s free-admission skating for all.

This is one of the biggest events in NYC’s busy holiday season, so make your plans now to come out and enjoy. It’s free and open to all, and festivities begin at 6pm.
