In honor of Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium, PepsiCo is hosting #PEPCITY, a three-day celebration of food, music, and football. Verizon is showcasing personalized, interactive technology in the Verizon Power House.
Located on the Upper Terrace next to The Rink at Bank of America Winter Village, #PEPCITY is a 10,000 sq.ft. fully heated dome incorporating Broadway, art, sports, and culture displays into multi-dimensional presentations of classic city experiences. Inside, celebrity chefs David Burke (Townhouse, Fishtail), Marc Forgione (Marc Forgione), and Michael Psilakis (FISHTAG) will serve complementary artisanal fare inspired by various PepsiCo products. PepsiCo brings #PEPCITY to Bryant Park as a ‘thank you gift’ to New York, New Jersey, and their residents.
Each night at 8:00pm, there will be a free, ticketed concert with scheduled appearances by 2013 MTV Video Music Awards “Artist to Watch” winner Austin Mahone, Latin superstar Prince Royce, and, as a closing act on Saturday night, Ziggy Marley. #PEPCITY will be at the park from Thursday, January 30 to Saturday, February 1, and is open 2:00 - 6:30pm each of those days. Admission and food tasting are free, as are the concerts, but you’ll need tickets for the latter. Click here to order them.
And at the other end of Bryant Park, on the Fountain Terrace, football fans and technology nuts alike can visit the Verizon Power House from Wednesday, January 29 through Sunday, February 2. The Power House offers visitors 15,000 sq.ft. of personalized, interactive technology, and features the latest from the connected world of Verizon. You can ‘suit up’ in your favorite team’s uniform, demo NFL Mobile’s best features, and watch NFL games on LTE Multicast. It’s all free, and you can even leave your mobile phone for complementary charging as you enjoy the rest of Bryant Park, then come back and pick it up.
The Verizon Power House is open Wednesday through Saturday, 11:00am - 11:00pm (last entry at 10:30pm), and 10:00am - 2:00pm on Super Sunday.
