Foam-based shoe company opens new store, occupying 13,600 sq.ft. over three floors.
The retail scene on 34th Street continues to improve, with new store additions and expansions. On Saturday, January 25, Crocs opened an impressive retail shop at 152 W. 34th Street. The Colorado-based maker of the singularly fashioned, foam-based shoes now occupies 13,600 sq. ft. at the address, spread over three floors. This is Crocs’ fourth store in New York City, and we are pleased to welcome the retailer to 34th Street.
This is a substantial investment by the company, which last year celebrated its 10th anniversary and to date has sold more than 200 million pairs of shoes in more than 90 countries worldwide. In 2011, the company posted sales of more than $1 billion.
Fashion Herald’s Tricia Lewis has been tracking Crocs’ progress since the company first announced it was coming to 34th Street. Her full report of the new Crocs store was just released. Remember, you can keep up on all the fashion news from the 34th Street district by following Fashion Herald on her blog, Facebook, and Twitter.
