Follow the action from Sochi while enjoying sips 'n snacks from 'wichcraft.
It’s been an exciting Winter Olympics so far, and habitués of Southwest Porch at Bryant Park are making the best of it. Each weekday during the Games, the Porch has been the spot for lunchtime and after-work viewing of the action on the slopes, rinks, and cross-country courses.
Sure, it’s been a chilly New York City winter, but the Porch offers rockers, swings, and Adirondack chairs, lots of space heaters, an open fire-pit, and Slankets to keep its guests toasty. With a large flat-screen TV beaming images from Russia, and ’wichcraft offering an Olympic special that includes an entrée and a beer or glass of wine, it’s simply the best way to show some ‘weather solidarity’ with our athletes.
The Games are winding down, but there’s still time to enjoy watching the events al fresco at the Porch. Through Friday, February 21, the Porch offers free viewing and an Olympic special from ’wichcraft at lunchtime (12:00-3:00pm) and after work (5:00-7:00pm), weather permitting. C’mon, folks: our athletes are working their tails off in Sochi to bring home gold. Come to the Porch to cheer them on.
