The Warrior Coming to Broadway Boulevard

Jodi DeCrenza's multi-faceted workout program will challenge you all summer. Her total body workout uses yoga, natural resistance, and cardio to build core stability and lean muscle.

34th Street Partnership is currently organizing another varied schedule of healthful and interesting free exercise classes for the summer. We’ll finalize the full spring and summer schedules shortly, but first let us announce the arrival of an exciting new addition for the 2014 season – The Warrior fitness classes.

Beginning in May, Jodi DeCrenza – The Warrior – comes to Broadway Boulevard between 34th and 35th Streets for weekly sessions which involve a total body workout using yoga, natural resistance, and cardio to build core stability and lean muscle. The Warrior promises to invigorate and restore your body and spirit, and inspire you to discover your true potential.

This will be the second year that Ms. DeCrenza will offer free outdoor classes in New York City, and she’s quite excited about the new location. “Last year was fantastic, but I felt the location imposed limits on the number of participants. This year’s classes will be conducted adjacent to Macy’s in one of the busiest, most exciting neighborhoods in the city, so the sky’s the limit.” Needless to mention, 34th Street Partnership is thrilled to welcome The Warrior to our corner of the city.

The Warrior meets each Thursday, 6:30 - 7:30pm, beginning May 22 and running through September 25. Beginning in June, the session on the third Thursday of each month will be an Extended Yoga Edition lasting until 8:00pm. No equipment is necessary at The Warrior – just wear clothes you can move in. People of all fitness levels are welcome. “I take very seriously my obligation to make sure each participant gets maximum benefit,” says Ms. DeCrenza. “All participants can be sure they will get one-on-one attention.”

Visit the 34th Street Partnership website as we nail down dates for our other fitness programs. DanceSport will return with classes in Swing, Salsa, and Zumba, and we will also introduce Capoeira classes, conducted by Professor Tiba of Capoeira Luanda, to Broadway Boulevard.
