Claim your spot on the grass. #MeetMeOnTheLawn
The lush sod at Bryant Park has been beckoning you since it was installed in March, and you may have wondered: Why can’t we just go on it? Well, it takes over a month for the lawn’s roots to really take hold, and this year’s growth was delayed by the interminable cool weather.
But now the wait is over. Today, May 7, Park Manager Brian Schliessman gave word that The Lawn is open for everyone, including their chairs, tables, and blankets. The Bryant Park mascot Flaubert Frog invited visitors onto the lawn at 12:30pm. Park guests eagerly stepped onto the fresh green grass and jumped into the spring season!
