New Furniture to Accommodate Summer Crowds

400 new chairs arrived just in time for the busy season.

With the flowers in bloom, Broadway French Market operating three days each week, and exercise classes returning, the complex of passive spaces maintained by 34th Street Partnership is in full warm-weather mode. Now is the time to take full advantage of Herald and Greeley Square Parks and the stretch of Broadway Boulevard between 32nd and 36th Streets.

Last week, to make sure that the thousands of people who will flock through the area on a daily basis have a place to rest their feet, 34th Street Partnership put in place 400 new movable chairs, bringing the total to 470. The chairs are there for everybody: office workers needing a break, shoppers looking for a rest stop, and hungry folks seeking a pleasant spot to eat lunch.
