Olympian Tim Morehouse Joins Fencers

Two-time Olympian makes appearance at last week's Bryant Park Fencing lesson.

The folks who turned out for the Bryant Park Fencing class last Friday were in for a treat, as two-time member of the U.S. Olympic Fencing team Tim Morehouse came out to interact with Bryant Park’s first-time fencers.

Morehouse, who competed at the Beijing and London games, thrilled spectators with some expert moves, and generously pitched in to give personal instructions to the students. He also showed his Silver Medal and posed for photos with a few lucky folks. His last visit to Bryant Park was in 2010, and we were happy to host him again.

There are still two more chances to participate in Bryant Park Fencing, with instructors from Manhattan Fencing Center. The final two sessions of the season meet on Friday, May 30 and Friday, June 6, 1:00-2:00pm, on the Fifth Avenue Terrace in front of the New York Public Library. Fall sessions run from September 5 to October 10
