57,000 sq.ft. superstore opens at 1333 Broadway.
The talk of the retail fashion world this month is the opening of the 57,000 sq.ft. Urban Outfitters superstore at 1333 Broadway on Saturday, June 7.
This is a game-changer in more ways than one. First of all, it’s the biggest store in the retail giant’s line-up, which includes outlets in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Twice as large as a typical Urban Outfitters location, this one extends over three floors, features 45 international clothing brands, and has 3,000 sq.ft. of space dedicated to the chain’s new active wear label Without Walls. The store also includes a Hairroin Salon, Intelligentsia Café, Tortoise & Blonde eyewear boutique, and a branch of LA’s Amoeba Records, offering more than 1,200 titles of vinyl records.
The store opening is big news for the 34th Street District. The location of the superstore, combined with its fantastic amenities, will extend the city’s most exciting retail apparel district northward in dramatic fashion. Tricia Lewis, 34th Street’s resident fashion blogger, is thrilled about the opening and filed this report on Fashion Herald in anticipation. Look to Fashion Herald next week for her first impressions after she visits the store.
We welcome this outstanding international retailer to the 34th Street District and wish the owners a long and profitable run.
