From its inception in 2003, Bryant Park Reading Room has enjoyed generous sponsorship from our neighbor HSBC Bank, and we are grateful for this manifestation of HSBC’s dedication to literacy and education. Corporate sustainability is another responsibility the bank takes seriously, and it is in that spirit that we present the HSBC Sustainability - Word for Word series.
Bringing to the Reading Room some of the world’s leading writers on sustainability, the series kicked off last week with a program titled ‘The Economics of Happiness,’ with appearances by Dan Harris (10% Happier) and Carol Graham (Happiness Around the World).
The next installment, ‘Water: A Precious Resource,’ is Tuesday, June 17 as we welcome John Gaudet (Papyrus) and Brian Richter (Chasing Water). The series continues every other Tuesday through August 26. All Sustainability events are from 12:30-1:45pm at Bryant Park Reading Room.
Future topics include urban policies, living with nature, the food industry, and the business of doing business. Click here for the entire schedule of topics and authors.
