As MidCity News has reported previously, the 34th Street District has experienced a veritable explosion of new hotel rooms over the past few years. This is good news for business travelers, vacationers, and, not least, the district’s stores and restaurants.
The latest addition, as reported in the Commercial Observer, will be a Hilton Garden Inn at 45 East 33rd Street, between Park and Madison Avenues. The 23-story, 238 foot-high hotel will add 58 guest rooms to the area, and will include a restaurant, three bars (including a second floor terrace lounge), a conference room, fitness center, and business center.
Construction is nearly complete and according to the company website, the new hotel is now taking reservations for dates beginning September 8. 34th Street Partnership welcomes this venerable hotel chain to the 34th Street District.
