Food for Thought

The lunchtime series Book Club: Food for Thought moves into Studio 34 at One Penn Plaza for the winter season.

34th Street Partnership’s book discussion group will continue right through the winter, thanks to Studio 34, our new venue off of Park East at One Penn Plaza. With the help of property owner Vornado, we repurposed an indoor storage space to allow for the continuation of free public programs.

The next session of Book Club is on Wednesday, November 19, 12-12:45pm. The discussion will be on What Alice Forgot, by Liane Moriarty. Participants are encouraged to bring lunch, though coffee is provided gratis. At the end of the session, ten participants will receive a free copy of the book to be discussed at the next program (Wednesday, December 17).

Book Club isn’t the only program at Studio 34 this winter. Origami lessons meet there at 3pm-4pm each Tuesday, and our popular Midtown RECESS is there from Monday through Friday. RECESS is the perfect midday break, and will bring back memories of your childhood. There’s giant Jenga, Slinkys, jump ropes, Hula-Hoops, and Rubik’s cubes.
