Handmade cosmetics company moves from Herald Center to 44 West 34th Street space.
Fashion Herald keeps us informed of all the retail news in the 34th Street District. The opening of Lush Cosmetics in an impressive space at 44 West 34th Street is no exception. The handmade cosmetics maker closed its doors at Herald Center awhile back, reopening at the new location in September.
The new store is Lush’s fifth in NYC. Judging by this article at Racked.com, the design of the new space is quite interesting. With reclaimed wood walls and repurposed electrical component boxes, the operators have created the feel of a farmer’s market. The eco-friendly design includes information conveyed on a chalkboard, a soap counter for weighing and wrapping soap products, and rustic furniture placed throughout the store.
34th Street Partnership welcomes Lush back to the nabe, and wishes the company well.
